In the Philippines, the first group of 20 healthcare candidates has officially started their preparatory journey for international recruitment. These professionals, selected through a careful and ethical screening process, are now beginning training focused on both healthcare knowledge and cultural orientation tailored to Belgian practice.
A key focus between July and December will be intensive Dutch language acquisition, as mastering the language is essential for successful integration in both the workplace and the broader community. Language training is therefore at the heart of this phase, supported by experienced language coaches and medical communication modules.
This programme reflects a strong partnership between the Philippines and Belgian stakeholders, aiming to address healthcare workforce needs in a sustainable, ethical, and person-centred way. With early investment in language, skills, and support, candidates are being thoroughly prepared for long-term success in Belgium.
